Zion National Park Hiking Lover Day Trip

About This Experience
Where most Las Vegas day trips treat Zion as a scenic drive, this one treats it as a place to walk. The van carries a maximum of fourteen and the itinerary threads together four separate stops inside the canyon, guided rather than self-directed.
You reach the park via the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway, pausing at the tunnel for the switchback views over Pine Creek before dropping to the canyon floor. After the Visitor Center the tour rides the park shuttle up to Temple of Sinawava, the last stop on the scenic drive and the point where the canyon walls close to a few hundred feet apart.
From there it is fifty minutes on the Riverside Walk, a flat paved trail alongside the Virgin River that ends where The Narrows begins. The return leg adds the Pa'rus Trail near Canyon Junction Bridge — the one path in Zion open to bikes and dogs, and the best place to photograph the Watchman — and a stop at the Zion Human History Museum.
Unlimited drinks and the park permit are included; lunch is not, so bring food or buy it at Springdale on the way in. Departure runs earlier between 1 July and 1 September to get ahead of the heat.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much walking does this Zion tour involve?
Several short walks rather than one long hike. The Riverside Walk is about fifty minutes on flat paved trail, the Pa'rus Trail adds another easy stretch, and there is walking at the tunnel viewpoint and the museum. Expect to be on your feet for a couple of hours in total, none of it technical.
Is lunch included?
No. Drinks are unlimited and the park permit is covered, but meals are not. Most guests bring food from Las Vegas or buy something during the Hurricane, Utah comfort stop on the way north.
What time does the tour leave Las Vegas?
Early, and earlier still in high summer — the operator moves departure forward between 1 July and 1 September to avoid the worst afternoon heat on the canyon floor. Your exact time is confirmed with your booking.
Does the tour use the Zion shuttle?
Yes, for the upper canyon. From 7 March to 28 November 2026 the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is closed to private vehicles and the park shuttle is the only way to reach stops like Temple of Sinawava, so the itinerary is built around it.
Is this tour suitable for children or people with limited mobility?
Children are welcome, but the tour is not suitable for people with mobility impairments — the trails are walked, not driven, and the shuttle involves boarding and standing. One standard carry-on plus one personal item is the luggage allowance.
